PLEASE NOTE NEW EMAIL ADDRESS john.austenbrown@sympatico.ca .

The Hoverplane was shown at the EAA fly-in on Sunday 22 August '04 at Cedars airport Que. and repairs to the glider parts to be used were demonstrated.

The VTOL Hoverplane has four engines in two wing nacelles, the two forward engines tilt up and the two rear engines tilt down. The next hurdle is to find four similar 60hp engines.

This project is directly impacted by the advent of new high efficiency electric motors and technology that will allow extended range.

Progress is halted for lack of funds, advice from an expert in fund raising is needed. How does one reach the right people? FUNDS ARE NEEDED NOW to obtain motors or engines, see appeals - see your chequebook - join the team - see Canada go.

If anyone has some suitable motors please call (1) 450 373 4110.

VTOL models have flown in stable hover, translation and level flight. More details for a new version can be found at the Electric Hoverplane link at bottom of page.

An autonomous flight model (now I/C engined) is being built to investigate steep descent.   The hoverplane has the best low speed control of any flying machine, a flight sim movie is available - contact me. HELP THIS PROJECT by sending contributions to:-J.F.Austen-Brown
